Base Camp

The historic Kinnitty Castle is our home for the weekend of the GRS Slieve Blooms.

Course Information

GRS Classic – The full course option is 90km, with 1800 meters of elevation. 85% of which is on gravel, the remainder of which is on quiet country lanes.

GRS Tour – The shorter course option is 50km, with 1000 meters of elevation. 85% of which is on gravel, the remainder of which is on quiet country lanes.

Friday
  • Registration – 6.00pm to 9.00pm
  • Bike Movie – 7.00pm
  • BBQ – 6.00pm
Saturday
  • Registration – 8.00am to 10.00am
  • Start Time – GRS Classic 10.30am, GRS Tour 11.00am
  • Cut off time – Riders must reach the turn for the GRS Tour, at the 30km point by 12.00pm
  • Buffet – 3.00pm onwards
  • Live Music – 6.00pm onwards

Feed Stations

The feed stations are located at 40km and 70km. At each station you’ll find the following

  • Water, energy drink and coke
  • Sweets and biscuits
  • Fruit
  • Tube exchange
  • Basic tool kit and pump
  • Bottle collection and drop
  • Toilet

Parking

Please respect our neighbours, drive slowly on approach roads to the venue and use official car parks only. Car parking is strictly in official car parks, please do not park along the road side.
